The document, which is continuously improving in terms of contents and accuracy, maintains the same structure it had last year. It confirms itself as an essential tool to provide the stakeholders with relevant information on our Company's environmental, social and governance performance.

We are pleased to note that interest for non-financial information is increasing rapidly and we are committed to constantly improving the quality and level of detail of this information.

Sustainability Report 2019 - Consolidated non-financial statement under the Italian Legislative Decree 254/2016.

Beginning this year we will also be publishing data relating to two major stakes in jointlycontrolled companies (which are not consolidated using the line-by-line method): Cimento Nacional (BCPAR) in Brazil and Corporación Moctezuma in Mexico. This decision is in line with the recommendations of the NFD and also strongly backed by our Board of Directors.

Another important development is the new organizational structure of Sustainability. The Sustainability Steering Committee (SSC) of Buzzi Unicem group will be supported by the three Sustainability Area Committees (SAC) for Italy, the US and Dyckerhoff . The aim of the three SAC is to improve the implementation of the sustainability initiatives established by the Group SSC and to contribute towards the objectives set at a consolidated level being reached at a local level.
As confirmation of our commitment to addressing the challenges associated with climate change, we have created two new Task Forces at the Group level. The first is dedicated to promoting, coordinating and monitoring initiatives for reaching the goals for the reduction of CO2 emissions in line with that established under our Climate Change Policy; the second aims to coordinate conversations and communications with investors and financial institutions on the subject of tackling climate change. These two Task Forces are directly involved in updating the Materiality Matrix and serve to highlight the growing interest towards non-financial performance even within the financial sector.

2019 was the second year in implementation of our five-year plan for the reduction of direct CO2 emissions. This year we will also be publishing the distinction between gross and net emissions. Compared to 2018, with an increase in production of binders of almost 1,500,000 tons, the indicator went from 690 to 688 kg of “Scope 1” gross CO2 per ton of cementitious material. We confirm our aim to reach our target of 662 kg of “Scope 1” gross CO2 per ton of cementitious material in 2022. Indirect CO2 emissions (“Scope 2”), resulting from the use of electrical energy, increased slightly compared to 2017. The greater costs associated with certifying electricity generated from renewable sources still significantly limits use in all countries.
The number of injuries follows the positive trend from recent years and is slightly lower than last year. Despite our constant commitment and attention, in 2019 we recorded a fatal injury involving a contractors’ worker. We need to keep our guard up and ensure continuity and eff ectiveness in preventative actions and demand conduct from our suppliers that is in line with internal standards.
In 2019 we also consolidated our initiatives for involving local bodies and communities near our cement production plants in order to improve collaborations and partnerships with them. The Family & Friends event hosted by the cement factory in Monselice in Italy was certainly a concrete and successful example of this.

In later parts of this Sustainability Report you will also find details of all our non-financial performance. We hope that you appreciate the results we have achieved. We are committed and dedicated to further improving these in the future.

Sustainability Report 2018 - Consolidated non-financial statement under the Italian Legislative Decree 254/2016.

Based on a study by KPMG, all 205 companies who published an NFD last year adopted the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) international standards. Subject matter that received the greatest attention included: health and safety (75%), development of human capital (72%), promotion of diversity (65%), anti-corruption (62%), relations with the community (60%), climate change (58%), energy efficiency (57%), protection of human rights (52%) and waste management (43%). These figures validate the quality of the content and structure of our Sustainability Report and provide useful suggestions for further improvement.

In terms of tackling climate change, 2018 was the year we implemented our five-year plan for the reduction of direct CO2 emissions. Despite an increase in production of binders of approximately 550,000 t compared to the previous year, we were able to limit our emissions and improve the respective emission factor, with a reduction from 696 to 690 kg CO2/t of cementitious material. The path we have embarked on is the right one, however we are fully aware that we need to do more in order to reach our target of 662 kg CO2/t of cementitious material by 2022. Indirect CO2 emissions, resulting from the use of electrical energy, increased slightly compared to 2017. Part of this increase is due to a better calculation of the energy generated from renewable sources that we actually consumed. However, we do highlight that higher power prices still significantly limits use of energy from renewable sources in all countries.

With regard to safety, the number of injuries and lost days continued to fall, thus confirming the positive trend that has been observed in recent years. Nevertheless, we do have to report two fatal accidents, both of which involved contractor staff.

2018 was also a particularly intense year in terms of our engagement activities, especially those directed at improving collaboration and partnerships with local entities and communities. We realize that there is still a great deal to do, however we believe that, in 2018, our approach to sustainability helped us to make strides in the right direction, which is why we are wholeheartedly committed to continuing the processes we have started.

The 2017 Sustainability Report presents important issues: Climate Change, Stakeholder Engagement and Security.

In this year’s edition we wanted to focus on some issues that are particularly important for us and our stakeholders: Climate Change, Engagement, Safety. As explained in last year’s report, the entry into force of legislative decree 254/2016, requires that we publish as of this year a non-financial consolidated declaration. This consists in a series of information, that is complementary to the information contained in the Consolidated Financial Statement, that must allow stakeholders to have a broader and more representative view of our company’s performance.
In this year’s edition we wanted to focus on some issues that are particularly important for us and our stakeholders: Climate Change, Engagement, Safety. For each of these we have established clear policy guidelines and potential medium-term objectives.
With regard to Climate Change, we would like to confirm the novelty and importance of the new CO2 reduction plans that were developed in each country, through which we expect to achieve by 2022 a 5% reduction compared to 2017 levels.
With regard to “Stakeholder Engagement”, we have defined a new procedure for more clearly communicating the objectives and responsibilities of the dialogue initiatives with local areas and other stakeholders.
On safety, we confirm our commitment to operating, in all our production sites, with the objective of avoiding any accidents and occupational illnesses.
The approach to sustainability is therefore fully underway: with everyone’s collaboration we’ll overcome the challenges lying ahead of us.

The Sustainability Report 2016, with a totally renewd graphic lay out, was published according to the GRI G4 guidelines.

During the course of the 2016 fi nancial year we have seen some important events, which will significantly influence our approach towards sustainability.

Just over a year ago, the 21st edition of the Conference of Parties (COP21) drew to a close in Paris after an ‘historic’ Agreement had been reached on environmental policy: this agreement was pursued, supported and shared by 195 Countries and in years to come it is destined to have a major impact on the way we live, produce and access resources..

The cement industry must do its part, by trying to reduce emissions, particularly of CO2: for this reason we have initiated an important organizational project in all Countries in which the group operates, to promptly respond to the legitimate expectations of our stakeholders.

Another event that is worth remembering is the approval, at the end of 2016, of legislative decree n. 254, which concerns the publishing of non-financial information. This Decree makes it obligatory for listed companies to disclose non-financial information and, as a result, a company’s sustainability report has become as important as its financial statement.

We know that we are well-prepared for this new obligation, thanks to the experience we have acquired even before European lawmakers formally codified it: our stakeholders must be able to know and assess our performance even more broadly than has been the case until now.

The Sustainability Report 2015 was published according to the GRI 4 guidelines.

Once the 2014 Sustainability Report was completed we decided to adopt the GRI G4 guidelines for the future editions, with the last fiscal year being the first year they were implemented.  This led us to review part of our internal organization and naturally our data collection system.

During the first phase of the process we defined and compiled the materiality matrix, a demanding and complex task resulting from a discussion between the group department managers and the key stakeholders.  The positioning of the data on the matrix confirmed that there were several issues we already deemed material along with just as many suggestions for improvement, which were first implemented in the data collection and then later in the reporting phases.

For example, the matrix highlighted the importance of occupational and health and safety and community relations for our company.

As a result, we introduced several significant initiatives to expand the connection phase, such as collecting work-related injury data from our contractors, in other words the suppliers who physically work in our plants and with whom we plan to share good work practices to ensure the safety of their employees as well as our own.

We also asked the representatives of each country to indicate the actions they are undertaking to improve and strengthen relations with the communities living around our plants: you will find a detailed explanation of these initiatives in this report.

Lastly, we completed the evolution of the document with a new editorial style, which highlights the information and data collected even better than before thanks to the use of infographics.

We believe that the 2015 Sustainability Report will mark an important turning point in our reporting process and adds another destination to our long journey.

The Sustainability Report 2014 confirms the A+ rating (GRI guidelines).

We present here the 2014 Sustainability Report, which describes the economic, social, and environmental performance of Buzzi Unicem, once again according to the guidelines of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) ver. 3 A+.

In 2014 the commitment of our group to sustainability has become even stronger. We believe that sustainability issues will be increasingly important in the definition of our strategies and for this reason we have created a new international Committee (SSC, Sustainability Steering Committee) with the objective of monitoring, proposing and implementing initiatives to reduce environmental impacts and to improve the dialog with our stakeholders, especially with local communities.

In this edition of the report, we have provided more information on the monitoring of emissions and extended the scope of our accident report. We are also planning to confirm our participation in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), an organization that gathers data on the management of climate change issues.

Even more than in past editions, with this Sustainability Report we want to reaffirm our firm commitment to operate in a sustainable manner, to mitigate our impact on the environment and to improve the dialog with our stakeholders.

The Sustainability Report 2013 presents a new graphic lay out and confirms the A+ rating (GRI guidelines).

This 2013 Sustainability Report presents the social, environmental and economic performance of Buzzi Unicem, to meet the demands of our stakeholders, according to GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) guidelines.
Over the years, we have made clear that this report is used within the company as a tool of analysis and reporting, as an accurate knowledge of our performance allows us to take the necessary corrective measures and to improve our results.

A concrete example is provided by our investments in environmental technologies, which have increased the average thermal substitution of the group from 17.6% to 19.1% over the last five years and have reduced our specific thermal consumption in Russia by more than 16%. In addition, our commitment to training has allowed us to halve the cases of injury at our cement plants.

We acknowledge the value of this Sustainability Report, which provides Buzzi Unicem with a clear snapshot of our economic, social, and environmental performance and with the motivation to keep improving.

The Sustainability Report 2012 presents a new structure and confirms the A+ rating(GRI guidelines).

It is certainly difficult to give this message a note of optimism and hope given the critical economic and financial situation, both Italian and global, in which we find ourselves. Every day we are forced to recognize that we are living a period of serious and intense crisis, with figures and statistics not suggesting improvement in the short term.

We should not, however, forget the role assigned to our company on the national and international industrial scene and to avoid the challenges in front of us, we should not forget that investing in the environment is investing in the future.

Our task remains therefore to find suitable answers to these challenges, aware that our activities have a strong impact on the environment: we are committed to renovate the areas in which we operate, to respect and to help the local communities hosting our plants and to carry out all the preventive measures suitable to limit any damage to the environment.

In Buzzi Unicem, the Sustainability Report must be viewed as a working tool for internal accounting, a periodic snapshot of our performance, to enable us to implement, where necessary, enhancing and corrective measures.
To make this document easier to access, we redesigned the structure of the report, leaving to our web site the specific information on the countries in which we operate.

In conclusion, the 2012 Sustainability Report will continue to be, for our company, a detailed account of our economic, social, environmental performance and an effective tool to outline the next steps.

The Sustainability Report 2011 shows data disclosure divided by country and gained the A+ rating (GRI guidelines).

In the countries in which we operate, factories have always been an important reference point for the economic and social life of the nation. A place where the added value originating from the transformation of material is appreciated also in terms of long-term social aggregation.

We believe that the ability of transferring to the work group what has been learned through the work experience constitutes a huge wealth for those leading a project, particularly if the experience is transferred not only from project to project but also from one country to another.
This is the key to reading the Sustainability Report 2011: for our company, “cross fertilization”, i. e. the flexibility and mutual sharing of experience, is a sign of great professionalism and represents the desire to grow and learn together, sometimes accepting very challenging tests.

As for the past editions, we believe that this report must be viewed as a working tool from which to draw conclusions on our working method and measure our objective of continuous improvement.

The Sustainability Report 2010 gained the A+ rating (GRI guidelines) and shows a new content structure.

For Buzzi Unicem the Sustainability Report is a truly multifunctional tool, i. e. a sound support for analysis and work, and an acid test for our objectives of continuous improvement.

Notwithstanding the tough economic situation, which has caused us to rationalize our manufacturing activity, we have deemed it fundamental to continue investing in projects relating to the quest for eco-compatible products, improvement of on-the-job safety and reduction of environmental impact; focusing on utilization of alternative fuels, optimization of quarry cultivation, and on an increasingly strict policy to curb CO2 emissions.

Our determination to pursue continuous improvement in our ways of conducting business spurs us to work on assuring long-term results, strengthening the development process and creating enduring value.

As with past editions, the 2010 Report maintains the A+ Application Level in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative ratings, thanks to the reliability of our data and the high technical value of the achievements presented.

The Sustainability Report 2009 gained the A+ rating (GRI guidelines) and shows a new content structure.

Seven years ago we published our very first Sustainability Report. Since then our approach has evolved, causing us not only to analyze and talk about our work in increasing detail and with increasing transparency but also, and above all, making us fully realize the value of this document – a real tool to aid improvement.

Notwithstanding the tough times involving the whole of the global economy, we have kept our promise of continuing some major development projects. In doing so, we have also demonstrated that operating or constructing a cement production plant can, and must, turn into an opportunity for local communities and for the environment.

As an Italian company, we are proud of being able to make a significant contribution to lightening the so-called global “ecological footprint”. Our efforts to make our “planetary footprint” as invisible as possible are constant but also go further. We have in fact made considerable progress in terms of respecting biodiversity and made not indifferent efforts to return to nature the sites used for raw materials procurement.

Lastly, compared with the past, we have given this year’s Sustainability Report a different slant, with the aim of making it more immediate and easier to use. In-depth information on the main projects, for example, is presented so that it can be read in two focused ways, i. e. economic and environmental. In addition, we have decided to use the Internet medium to publish part of the information typically included in the Report. This reduces the paper consumed for printing, while in any case maintaining an A+ level of reporting in terms of Global Reporting Initiative ratings, thanks to the reliability of our data and to the high technical value of the achievements presented.

The Sustainability Report 2008, was published according to the GRI guidelines and gained a A+ rating.

At Buzzi Unicem we consider social responsibility a form of entrepreneurial excellence that must be 100% integrated in our business strategy. With the publication of this sixth edition of our Sustainability Report, we tell you how in 2008 we once again continued the process of involving the entire Buzzi Unicem organisation in Corporate Social Responsibility issues.

This is the setting for an important objective, i. e. achievement of the A+ level of GRI assessment – not so much as a mere rating as tangible recognition of the effort dedicated to advancing both limitation of environmental impact and consolidation and development of relations with our stakeholders.

On this basis, we look ahead to the future aware of the fact that – in our role as an enterprise set in a given economic, social and environmental scenario – our responsibilities go well beyond those specifically related to business. Communicating the interaction between those dimensions and our work via a clear and comprehensive report is fundamental in order to act transparently in the market and address with even greater determination the difficult months awaiting the whole of global industry.

The fifth edition of the sustainability report, structured according to the Global Reporting Initiative guidelines. is the result of a reporting process that encompasses all the group’s companies.

We publish the fifth edition of the sustainability report that illustrates the 2007 reached results based on the economic, social and environmental indicators reporting the preface signed by our General Managers Pietro and Michael Buzzi.
“For the fifth consecutive year, in this publication Buzzi Unicem formalises its sustainability process, the results achieved, and its programmes for sustainable growth. The good outcome of previous editions and surveys performed spur us to focus on increasingly extensive and timely distribution of our report. We want the gri guidelines, which we follow, together with our corporate culture, to continue permeating our group’s operations to enhance its readiness for future challenges. We very much hope that the process spreading the sustainability concept in the business will involve all internal resources and be reflected in mandatory and voluntary actions in the socio-economic and environmental sphere.

We are rigorous and determined in our pursuit of past decisions to spread the spirit of business sustainability. We do so by managing, sharing, and synergically distributing the results achieved and by being open to discussion - on an active, ongoing basis - with our stakeholders. It is indeed for this reason that we have asked the foremost representatives of international management to make a direct contribution and illustrate the objectives achieved in their countries.

We confirm the structure of the previous edition of the report - with numerous significant novelties. The progress status of some major works to modernise production facilities, commitment to the present-day relevance of our product for improvement of the quality of life, and attention to our employees, customers, investors, and local communities - in a special year as was 2007, our centenary year - are just some of the aspects presented in this publication. This is how we want to tackle our second century: as an expanding group, geographically well balanced between mature and emerging economies, focused on the core business - and undoubtedly motivated to take on new challenges to achieve ambitious goals.”

In our company’s centenary year, we have decided to give greater relevance to the Sustainability Report, structuring the fourth edition according to the Global Reporting Initiative guidelines.

We would like to show the 2006 achieved results reporting infull the preface to the Sustainability report signed by our General Managers Pietro and Michele Buzzi. After one year since the beginning of their mandate, they renew the company's commitment and determination towards the sustainable development main principles.

"In our company’s centenary year, we have decided to give greater relevance to the Sustainability Report, structuring the fourth edition according to the Global Reporting Initiative guidelines.

By acquiring the principle under which sustainability development cannot be the responsibility of a few specialists operating in the environmental field or of communication professionals, Buzzi Unicem has assigned its national and international management the task of spreading the project spirit throughout all the 10 countries in which it operates.

The synergic stimuli we receive from this process of international sharing allow us to find the correct balance among the various ways in which the need for sustainability manifests itself and to strengthen our capacity to promote a responsible corporate culture.

A process is underway to involve the whole company concerning awareness of the impact that our activities can exercise on the communities and territories in which we operate, with the aim of fostering dialogue with stakeholders. We believe that the on-going improvement of our modus operandi must focus on the central importance of the individual and the environment, to achieve an increasingly responsible presence within the territory.

We will describe how the potential social and environmental impact is always in evidence in our decision-making process and how it has contributed to boosting the promotion of better products in terms of quality, being more sensitive to the environment and increasingly functional to the social-economic development of the markets we serve.

We will talk about our historic commitment to reduce electricity and fuel consumption, we will explain how we have achieved industrial safety and environmental results and how it is possible to extract raw materials modelling the territory and mitigating the relevant impact. We will show how we are preparing to extend as soon as possible the results achieved to those recently acquired entities which, in the past, were not able to receive adequate investments.

We will illustrate the new social ventures we have undertaken to cope with situations of need and how we can be an opportunity for the environment, re-using secondary raw materials and fuels obtained from waste. We take a trip through the company world using a different means, outside the logic of just numbers, communicating our attachment to our people and our land that has always characterized us along the path we have taken up to now. We believe that it is only by fostering a dynamic dialogue with our stakeholders that we can continue to satisfy the needs of the present generations, without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy theirs."

Sustainability Report 2005 Sustainability, Integrity and Good Corporate Governance are key components of our ethical culture and guide our conduct towards Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Shareholders and the Society in general.

As an introduction to the letter of our Sustainability Report 2005 we would like to report infull the preface to the Code of Conduct, signed by our Chairman Ing. Sandro Buzzi. The Code of Conduct, valid throughout the year 2005, has been handed over all the Personnel of BuzziUnicem group sister Companies.
“Sustainability, Integrity and Good Corporate Governance” are key components of our ethical culture and guide our conduct towards Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Shareholders and the Society in general.
Since the beginning of its long tradition in the cement industry – Fratelli Buzzi was established in 1907, Unicem in 1872 and Dyckerhoff in 1864 – Buzzi Unicem has been strongly committed to ethical values that through the years have guided the Company in its continuous growth to become the international group it is today. For over a century now we have been a trusted partner in the cement and building industry.
Ethical values are considered as a staple of business conduct and full compliance with local laws is an asset adding value to the Company. Both our strategic and day-to-day business must always be based on high ethical values and legal standards.
To a substantial degree our Company’s public image is determined by our actions and by the way each and every one of us presents and conducts himself or herself. We all share the responsibility for having our Company meet its Corporate Social Responsibility in all countries where we have operating activities. This commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, founded on sustainability, integrity and good Corporate Governance, is reflected in Our Values and our understanding of General Business Principles and Global Business Policies.
The Code of Conduct Guidelines apply to every employee across Buzzi Unicem. They shall help us meet the ethical and legal challenges in our day-to-day work. Any employee who has questions and comments may contact his or her supervisor or another office designated for that purpose.
Buzzi Unicem encourages its business partners to adopt the same General Business Principles and Global Business Policies in order to increase the level of Corporate Social Responsibility within the countries in which they operate”.

The business model of sustainability provides a guarantee of solidity and continuity for all stakeholders. Where the three cornerstones of performance - economic, environmental and social - upon which the model is based prove sound, as in the case of Buzzi Unicem, the company has the resources to be a long-term going concern and can guarantee an appropriate increase in value.

All too often the cement business finds itself the target of superficial criticism from an environmental point of view. The unjust charge of "original sin" springs from a distorted view of the industry, exacerbated by the liberal use of terms such as "overbuilding", which have undoubted negative connotations. The result is a figurative concept which works to the detriment of those who devote considerable commitment in terms of human and financial resources to producing and upholding the country's development, by providing construction material that is safe, durable and economically competitive.
This conditions the citizens and the institutions of the territories which host our sites and, at times, makes dialogue and constructive cooperation more difficult.

Since 2002 we have been ranked among the leading enterprises within our industry at national and international level and have achieved excellent standing.
Certification is often mistakenly dismissed as just more bureaucracy with which to contend. But for those enterprises already working to further the interests of all stakeholders, the Sustainability Report does not constitute an additional obligation but rather a formal statement of the way the business is run and of the commitment on the part of Shareholders and Management alike to strengthen the culture of sustainable development by transferring it to the management processes.
This is the guiding principle that distinguishes the 2004 edition of the Sustainability Report, which has been extended to include our major foreign enterprises.
The results delivered have been achieved thanks to all our staff who should not only take pride in their achievements but also and above all remain committed to ensuring their future continuity.

The project, realized according to the AA1000 standard principles, is the result of a teamwork that included the transversal involvement of the various corporate functions, which have in turn systematically identified and gathered the necessary information.

This Sustainability Report continues from where the process launched with the publication of the first "Rapporto Ambiente e Sicurezza 2001" (Environment and Safety Report 2001) - later followed by the release of the "Towards a Sustainable Development 2002" - left off.

It is the result of a teamwork, which has included the transversal involvement of the various corporate functions, which have in turn systematically identified and gathered the necessary information.

The document is divided into four sections as follows:

  • it opens with a presentation of the group an the value-focused notions to which the group refers when defining and engaging in its business
  • a section dealing with business performance, which reports on the levels reached and P&L and financial results attained globally by all group companies in 2003, both in Italy and abroad
  • a section dealing with environmental performance, which provides an essential and important summary of performances at Italian sites, with those readers interested in looking into the issues discusses in greater depth invited to refer to the appendices attached thereto
  • a closing section concerning performance from a social perspective, which contains information and indicators regarding the relationship between the group's Italian companies and their respective stakeholders (Staff, Shareholders, Investors, Suppliers, Customers, the Community, the Government, Local Authorities and the Public Administration).

The Sustainability Report project was developed by following standard AA1000 guidelines, while content and performance indicators were identified by referring to the "Standards for the Preparation of the Social Report", as produced by the Social Report Working Party (SRWP) and the requirements set out in the "Cement Sustainability Initiative", a special industry-focused programme devised by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

The respect for the environment expresses itself through a company's environmentally friendly policy and an ethic behavior together with the creation of wealth and opportunities towards the surrounding communities.

To implement our Environment and Safety Policy means:

  • To plan prevention and protection strategies with reference to environment and employees' health and safety by using the best technologies available, thus pursuing European and national standards and sustainable development principles.
  • To involve the whole staff and to entrust it with responsibility, through the supply of information and training activities according to the Buzzi Unicem Environment & Safety Policy; to promote cooperation and dialogue with the parties concerned (institutions, citizens, customers, suppliers, etc.).
  • To plan controls of the most important environmental impacts, such as energy and raw materials consumption, air emissions and noise.
  • To plan controls to reduce or remove where possibile risk factors for workers' health and safety.
  • To promote the development of the Environment & Safety Management System in the different production units, by applying models integrated with the Quality System.

The report was developed on the basis of the principles and standards adopted by the major Italian and international industries as a tool of communicating to all stakeholders the company's accomplishments in the environmental and safety areas.

The report was developed following the principles and standards adopted by the major Italian and international industries and specifically the guidelines expressed by the Forum on the preparation of company environmental reports promoted by Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation (FEEM) in 1994.

The report is structured in two sections:

  • the first one, of a qualitative nature, illustrates the group's activities - quarrying, production of cement and ready-mix concrete - and the Environmental and Safety Management System implemented by Buzzi Unicem;
  • the second one, of a quantitative nature, provides an in-depth analysis of the environmental issues and worker safety hazards connected with the cement production process and it reports the performance and indicators of Italian cement operations in the last three years(1999-2001).
