Buzzi partecipa al workshop internazionale “The Future of Cement and Concrete” alla Biennale Architettura 2025

On November 7, Buzzi took part in the international workshop “The Future of Cement and Concrete”, organized as part of the GENS Public Programme during the nineteenth edition of the International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.

The event brought together representatives from industry, academia and design to explore the future of the cement and concrete sector, highlighting how innovation, quality and sustainability can shape the transformation of the built environment in response to the climate crisis. The discussion touched on several key themes, including the new UNI/PdR 176:2025 guideline, the Italian roadmap toward climate neutrality, advances in CO₂ capture and reuse technologies, and the growing importance of digital platforms in enabling more efficient and resilient design processes.

Contributions came from Massimiliano Pescosolido (ATECAP), Luigi Buzzi (Buzzi), Paolo Zelano (Federbeton / Buzzi Unicem), Marco Francini (Unical) and Andrea Cassi (Carlo Ratti Associati), with Livia Randaccio (YouBuild) moderating the session.

Hosted within the Speakers’ Corner of Biennale Architettura 2025, the workshop reaffirmed the value of knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary dialogue, which remain essential drivers for a construction industry that aims to be both sustainable and forward-looking.
