Dyckerhoff celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Nowiny plant
On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Dyckerhoff celebrated an important milestone: the 60th anniversary of its Nowiny cement plant. The occasion was marked by a Family Picnic and an Open Day held at the site, bringing together employees, their families, retired colleagues and residents of the Nowiny municipality.
The event saw strong participation, with an estimated 800 visitors taking part in a train tour through the plant, offering a unique opportunity to discover the production process and gain closer insight into the site’s industrial activities. The wide range of initiatives dedicated to children was met with great enthusiasm.
Guided by a “Passport of Values,” children were able to explore various workshop areas and take part in creative and educational activities, including the production of eco-friendly cosmetics, the decoration of personalized bags, jewelry making and first aid training sessions conducted by the fire brigade. Young guests also had the opportunity to see up close a concrete mixer truck, a loader operating in the quarry and a fire service vehicle. The program was complemented by a playground area, face painting and a photo booth to capture memorable moments from the day.
A central and symbolic element of the celebration was the “Tree of Values,” representing community and cooperation. Participants were invited to leave their thumbprint as a leaf, contributing to a collective artwork that reflects the unity and strong bonds within the Dyckerhoff community.
Thanks to the support of the Municipal Cultural Center in Nowiny, the anniversary was further enriched by performances from a brass band and a garrison choir, adding a ceremonial and festive touch to the event.
The Management and Board of Dyckerhoff Polska emphasized the educational and integrative value of the initiative. Spending time together among employees, their families and invited guests created a unique atmosphere characterized by shared experiences, joy and positive energy.
