Oasi Botanico Ricreativa Ceretto (Torino)

L’Oasi Botanico Ricreativa Ceretto è un’area nata da un intervento di recupero ambientale avviato negli anni Ottanta, presso una cava di aggregati naturali, tutt’ora in attività.
L’area si estende in una zona limitrofa al Parco del Po torinese, su una superficie di oltre 70 ettari.
Al centro vi è il lago di cava, circondato da un sentiero di circa tre chilometri, tra saliceti, praterie, querceti e ontaneti, aree umide e piccole isole.

Ceretto Recreational Botanical Oasis (Turin - Italy)

The Ceretto Recreational Botanical Oasis is the result of an environmental restoration project dating back to the 1980s, carried out in a natural aggregates quarry, which is still in operation. The 70-hectare (~173 acres) area borders the Po River Park, in the belt of Turin.
The quarry lake stands in the middle of the Oasis, surrounded by an approximately 3-kilometer path winding among willow trees, grasslands, groves of oak and alder trees, wetlands and small islands.
